Neophyte Training - 2024

This is a great comprehensive overview of financial aid. The training will be held Monday, July 15th through Thursday, July 18th at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD.

The training will provide a complete overview of financial aid for new and/or seasoned financial aid professionals who would like refresher training! Our tentative agenda will include:

• The history of financial aid
• Diversity
• Working with intergenerational students and co-workers
• 2 NASFAA Credential sessions
• FAFSA 101
• Verification basics
• Professional judgement
• Types of financial aid
• Loans
  
• The care and feeding of your career
• Tri-State information/overview of who we are in DE-DC-MD and what we do as an organization!

This training is offered over 4 days and 3 nights; commuter price is available for those Tri-State members not needing overnight accommodations.

All meals will be provided and overnight accommodations are available in the high rise residential dorm (single rooms; shared bathrooms in quad area).
