The Executive Board is looking ahead to the New Year. The Nominations and Elections Committee has been working to prepare a slate of candidates for the 2010-2011 year. Listed below are the positions that need to be filled.

Chair Elect: This is a three year appointment. Chair Elect spends the first year watching and learning from the Chair; he/she then become the Chair for one year; followed by one year as Past-Chair. As Past-Chair, this person is also Chair of the Nominations and Elections committee. While serving as Chair, this person is responsible for attending the EASFAA Board meetings as a non-voting member.

Vice Chair: This elected position is for one year. The person is responsible for organizing the Fall Conference as well as working with Professional Development and Training committee.

President of Delaware: This elected position is for two years. The person will be responsible for calling meetings of the membership of their geographical area and coordinating training and community events for Delaware. This person will serve on the EASFAA Board as a voting member.

President of District of Columbia: This elected position is for two years. The person will be responsible for calling meetings of the membership of their geographical area and coordinating training and community events for the District. This person will serve on the EASFAA Board as a voting member.

President of Maryland: This elected position is for two years. The person will be responsible for calling meetings of the membership of their geographical area and coordinating training and community events for Maryland. This person will serve on the EASFAA Board as a voting member.

As you can see from the timeline listed below, the committee will be very busy for the next few weeks:

  December 15, 2009 Nominations closed
  December 16, 2009 Committee confirms Ballot
  December 17, 2009 Email to Executive Board for approval
  December 18th to December 31st Collect Profiles and Pictures
  January 6th to January 30th Profiles of nominees sent to membership by list-serv
  February 1st to February 26th Voting by membership
  March 1, 2010 Notify Tri-State Chair and Executive Board of results

**After Executive Board notification, announce results by list-serv to Membership

During January we will be sending list-serv messages to profile the candidates. We hope that providing a picture with help you recognize the individuals and help you in the voting process.
