Tri-State Nominations and Elections Committee Report

Submitted by: Ellie Geiman. Past Chair

As we approach the upcoming Fall Conference, I would like to present a new idea with your help, of course. As chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee, I would like to have a slate of candidates to introduce at the Fall Conference. This would give the members a chance to become familiar with the people interested in serving in a leadership capacity.

Within the next few days, the Nomination Form will be available on the website. If you are interested in one of the five positions, please complete the form and submit to my office. Nominees should demonstrate leadership and experience in serving on our Executive Board, or on a Tri-State committee, as well as other qualifications that would benefit our organization.

Many members are unaware of what is involved in serving on the Executive Board. Since I have a few years of experience in several positions, CALL ME! I would be glad to share with you about the wonderful fulfillment I have experienced in serving and also the challenges I have faced. My email is egeiman@mcdaniel.edu and my phone is 410-857-2235.

Proposed time line:
Collection of Nomination forms Now until November 5th
Announce slate of candidates to Executive Board December 1, 2009
Bio Sheets from Candidates January 2, 2010
Begin Voting Process online February 1, 2010
Voting Completed February 15, 2010
Election Results April, 2010

I have provided the information below to help you determine if serving in these important positions is a possibility. I am hoping you will and be one who steps up to the plate and joins our leadership!
