We can definitely say we are living in a time of change. The world of financial aid continues to march forward with the same dedication to the student population that we have always endorsed. Our Mission Statement promotes active participation by all members in order to serve the needs of students wishing to receive a postsecondary education. The Executive Board of DE-DC-MA Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators strives to provide solid leadership for our members.

The presence of Jacqui Daughtry-Miller on the Executive Board as Chairperson of the Historical Committee has insured that the history of inception and the footsteps of our organization are preserved. Jacqui and her committee have spent many hours of research and documentation preparing a booklet which was unveiled at the 35th Annual Fall Conference (CD version also). Recently the archives for Tri-State have been stored at Delaware Historical Society for safe-keeping. More importantly, we want to thank her for keeping the names of dedicated members of the past and present forever in our minds.

The time has come that Jacqui has decided to pass the baton of leadership for the Historical Committee. Under her encouragement and support, Barbara Williams, Director of Financial Aid, American University-Washington College of Law, stepped into Jacqui’s shoes on January 1, 2009. Jacqui will continue to be a vital part of our organization and will continue to see that our history is not lost.
