Richard (Rich) Heath, director of Student Financial Aid at Anne Arundel Community College (AACC), was awarded at the fall conference with the Marilyn Brown Professional Excellence Award. his award is presented annually to a financial aid professional who meets the following criteria:

• has a minimum of five years of service in the financial aid profession,
• shows dedication to serving students and the profession in adverse situations,
• displays professional ethics of the highest caliber, and
• shows contributions to the student, school, or professional association.

Rich was nominated by his staff at AACC. They cited several examples of the work Rich does with students behind the scenes and on his own time. Congratulations, Rich!
