The charge of the Historian of DE-DC-MD Association of Student Financial
Aid Administrators is to update the archives of the Association. The chair
formed a group which named itself the Historical Society Committee. History
is a branch of knowledge concerned with the study of past events. Historians
study records of events and prepare new accounts based on their research.
These accounts include explanation of the causes and effects of events as
well as interpretations of them. The study of history makes the past meaningful.
It also preserves structures, values and continuity for present society.
